How Did You Get Your First Programming Internship?



During my sophomore year of college, I started to feel anxious about my future career prospects. So I decided to attend a career fair and speak with recruiters from companies that interested me. One of those companies was a small tech start-up that was looking for a web development intern.

 

I was intrigued by the company's mission and the projects they were working on, so I spoke to the recruiter about my experience with web development and my passion for programming. I also mentioned that I was a quick learner and was excited to contribute to the company in any way possible. To my surprise, the recruiter was impressed by my enthusiasm and offered me an interview on the spot.

At the interview, I was asked about my experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Although I hadn't worked with those languages extensively, I explained the projects I had worked on in school and how they related to the position I was interviewing for. I also emphasized my eagerness to learn and my ability to work collaboratively with others.

 

A few days later, I received an email offering me the internship position. I was overjoyed and immediately accepted.
